Any know if a wired mains plug in speaker with sd card slot exists

does it have to be a mains powered speaker? Only asking as we tend to have so many devices that can play audio but 'forget' they have this feature. Your phone at night whilst plugged in charging? A laptop (can even attach external speakers to them if the internal ones arent loud enough), any tablet, A google mini or amazon dot if the display would be distracting.

Yeah prefer it to be a speaker.

Yeah it works still but unsure if its just coming from the battery not the plug but yeah it does work when plugged in.

Then just leave it plugged in, problem solved.
Possibly not the best way to keep a Lithium Ion battery 'best practice' conditioned, but will probably do what you want for several years.

Yes, and even if it doesn't charge whilst playing when plugged in, so long as there's enough in the battery to last overnight it will switch to charging mode when you turn it off in the morning.

The fact that it plays whilst plugged in shows that it probably has battery-protection circuitry.
