    END OF EMAIL:

Right heres my situation. Ive bought a panasonic PT AE100 projector. I use s video at the moment from my tosh sd100e. Im upgrading my DVD player to have component out sockets and hopefully progressive scan ( this further improves the pic quality ive been told).

Debenhams have a new Lecson out soon that does progressive scan for under £200. Anyone have info on this. Ive also been looking at that chinese Nintsua player but im not convinced by the reviews unless anyone can tell me different. What about the Toshiba SD510E, this has P Scan and component out.

My final questions is which should i get
    1) A DVD player with Component out.
    2) A DVD player with component out and progressive scan.

Thanks for your help on this.

    Brad

Go for progressive scan, I know I will.
It would be interesting to know what chips the Lecson has, I have heard the Sage chip is good, as in the Nintaus. We could do with someone buying the Lecson dvd 1000, and taking a look inside. I am very tempted :)

I also had the same email as you.

Yes, Normally you get progressive scan from componant out. But it is also available from the VGA socket like on the Nintaus.
