I'm looking for a new TV at the moemnt but saw the Fujitsu PDS4233 in my local Seven Oaks Sound & Vision and was well inpressed with it!

Does anyone own one of these sets or know of any good/bad features.

If I went for a plasma is there anythings I should be aware of?

What about connecting my equipment to it? My DVD player has component video output so that's not a problem, but what about my video?

Also can you easily get a tuner with teletext for one?

Any help or suggestions would be greatly welcomed.
As I can get this on 0% interest free credit I'm very tempted to get one next week!:)

Thanks for any replies,
Glenn.

Is this true? I've seen both, although not side by side unfortunately, and couldn't notice a great difference. The fujitsu has a more consistent 'frame' shape and was cheaper (as far as I could find).

I'm a bit concerned about the noise though. It's noiser than I remember in the shop - I couldn't hear anything in the shop. The fans are noticeable in the very quiet part of films. Anybody else think this?

I'm very please with the picture quality though - even using a reasonably old VCR as tuner through the worst quality composite lead ever(!) it's perfectly acceptable. Connect the IScanPro though and the results are wonderful!

Hi Bailych.

Thanks for the info. I didn't notice the fans either when I was in the shop!

If you don't mind could you tell me how much your local Seven Oasks Sound & Vision were charging? Mine are quoting £3780 for the Plasma & stand.

Also don't be worried about people not thinking much Fujitsu plasma's, it's a new model and hasn't even been reviewed yet!
Best I've seen yet.

Thanks,
Glenn.

P.S. are you using a tuner with it or just piping it through your video?

I got it for the price they advertised in What HiFi Sept:

3599.95 (charcoal grey)

plus stand at 134.95

equals ...3734.90.

I'm just piping through the video, but I did buy an IScanPro at the same time which I switch everything through (makes a *very* nice auto multiformat video switch box :D).

Good as you thought? Better/worse? And how annoying are the fans?

Thanks for any info,

Glenn.
