Any Highways Services Engineers?

    Currently applying for a very interesting trainee engineer post with the highways services.

    Just wondered if anyone on here is in the trade, do you enjoy the job? What sort of hours do you have to work? How long did the training last?

    Try living at home with parents that don't charge rent and often help you out with money, then get a part time job working odd hours to gain time and a half wages.

    I cant do this for the rest of my life lol. I want my own house, and not have to rely on anyone else for money when i get an unexpected bill (e.g my car needed a new rear spring last week and i couldn't afford it so my dad paid)

    I am very grateful to my parents, they do more than most, but i want independence!

    Damn right ...mine left for Spain when i was 18 (when i was 16 they were going for the odd week or so :rolleyes:) sell your gear ,get a job and a flat man :thumbsup:

    Edit..thats not a "flat" Man ,but somewhere to rent :D
