Dirt is cracking it will also give you a nice topup on your gamer score. About 700G from just the career mode. I got mine for £15 in HMV at xmas.

Maybe even Grid ? I was not so keen on the demo. But I picked it up recently at gamestation for £20 and its cracking.

I will wet my pants while playing the demo :D

    everyone starts somewhere

there was time when i was on 0 and it lasted as long as it takes to find Hexic HD on the old dashboard

find some people in the GoW game threads for co-oping GoW and you will get more gamerscore

as pixel said you can get a lot from SP and it ca be 1ked fairly easily

I have been very impressed with Baja - got it for under £15 from Game instore. A fairly new title - not strictly rally but pretty realistic off road action - not as polished as Dirt perhaps but brilliant physics and challenging Career mode with decent AI to race against

For a true rally game try to find Richard Burns Rally - really tough game but very realistic. Xbox game but backwards compatible - the last real rally sim. Great on the PC too with a readily available up to date mod :)

    Cheers

Totaly agree with SuperSportBilly re: Richard Burns Rally. While it lacks the 360 graphical shine, it's an utterly utterly awsome rally game - all other console rally games feel like the car's on rails by comparison. It's punishingly difficult though and requires an extraordinary amount of patience and concentration - at first you'll wonder how on earth it's possibly to even finish a stage. But once it 'clicks' it's just fab

Pure was pretty good. Its an over-the-top off road ATV (Quadbike) game thats great for quick thrills. Highly recommended.

Dirt is great although was hobbled by its terrible mulitplayer side if you could call it that.
Dirt 2 looks like it will have proper MP which I am looking forward to alot.
With a new game engine too (Dirt was not always the smoothest) then all boxes are ticked.
Finally a challenger to the almighty Rally Challenge 2 on the original Xbox?

    Really hope so!

As for now, DiRT is a really good game and the only real rally game on the 360 so far.

Other off road games which are worth considering(most have already been mentioned): Flatout: Ultimate Carnage, Pure, Baja: Edge of Control & MX vs. ATV: Untamed(I just picked this one up myself but haven't played it yet).

FUEL could have alot of potential to be great, again not a rally game as such but plenty of off-roading and environmental effects to deal with. Is due for release in May this year, I have a suspition that DiRT 2 might slip into 2010 due to this(with both being by Codemasters), hope not though as I can't wait for both, especially DiRT 2!

This post just made me google Richard Burn Rally just to see how the graphics compare to current racers... came across this video :)

YouTube - Force Dynamics, Richard Burns Rally

.. and just to think I don't have enough room for a wheel at home!

Imagine playing X-Wing in that badboy!

I've just gone back to DiRT again after 18 months, I really forgot how great this game is and I almost feel guilty I didnt give it the time the first time round.

    Cant wait for DiRT 2!

I have played a friend's Dirt, and was very impressed.

However, I got Sega Rally v v cheap and it's great! Takes me back! :)

You'll pick it up new for less than a fiver, used for pounds.....your call.

Sega Rally definatley has the best rumble on the 360 pad. You can't beat the feeling of going through a snow track on that game.
