After having major problems importing wma files to sonicstage i've decided to convert all my wma files to mp3 and import them that way to sonicstage. So..

Can anyone recommend a program that will let me select my main .wma directory, with many album subfolders full of wma files, and convert them to to the same group of folders but with mp3 files.

In other words all i want to have to do is select the main .wma folder, i don't want to have to go through all the subfolders selecting all the .wma files individually, and at the end of it I want to have all the .mp3 files in the same type of directory structure as the .wma files were, ie. all nicely grouped into the original albums as they were on my hard disk.

    Thanks in advance :)

If you want a good program for this try sound forge, its costs money but the stuff you can do with it is endless... I use mine quite a bit for conversion or volume changes.

    Sound Forge

Just looked at it, $399!!! 8-O

I donwloaded a proggy called advanced WMA workshop, does the job ok - took about 8 hours overnight to convert 11gig and cost £15.
Sonsicstage still crashed 4 times while transferring the resulting mp3 files despite not needing to convert them even after prolonged waiting. SS really is a useless load of sh*te. Hopefully it'll manage individual albums from now on though, now i've finally managed to transfer all my existing songs.
