I advise anyone who likes this film to snap it up on DVD.

Just watched it the DD 5.1 mix is one of the best I have heard, the L.F.E effects almost brought down my walls!

    Picture is good too.

I noticed that ThunderDVD.com have some kind of competition/offer based around this title.

Yeah, if you're one of 50(?) lucky entrants you get to buy the disc for either US$0.99 or C$1.99. All you have to do is register on their database (don't have to give credit card details) and then email them. Nice idea, hope I win!

Oh, and it's not strictly a directors cut, when released in Europe, Warners hacked out most of the gameplay cos they thought audiences from Europe wouldn't know what was going on as we don't play US football over here, so the dir cut just puts the 15 or so mins they cut back in. Bizarre!

But, having said that, you'd be watching the R1 version anyway, so R2 should be getting that one in the near future.
Oliver Stone is one of my fave directors, personally I love the fidgetty style of NBK, it keeps you on your toes so you never really settle down with the movie. Nice touch.
