I'm trying to edit the target URL of a flash banner using MX and I'm buggered if I can figure out how to do it. Rubbish software since it's such an obvious function and totally impossible to find even after an hour trying!!!!
    Please help!

You trying to add the link to the embedded file once in Dreamweaver or within Flash?

Don't think you can assign a link to a flash file, in the same way as you can with a JPEG or GIF (although I stand to be corrected on this). I've always added links within Flash. You need to use the actions to create links to URLs. There's probably plenty of tutorials on the web on this. It's been ages since I did any Flash.

Thanks guys. Hang on - so if it were possible to use a program like PSP to automatically edit a .swf file and replace the URL in it, it would still work?
Holy cow- that WOULD be useful!

Flash can certainly be made dynamic, in that it can interact with a database. My brother is a Flash guru and he build this sort of stuff. Not sure if he's worked with PHP. If you're dead serious about having some interactivity between banner ads and a databse I can PM you his email if you're interested - although I'd better contact him first about it.

Only (minor) problem is that he's in Spain. But his English is pretty good.
