Yes, I have one and the picture is very good. Another chap on here has one too and reckons it's as good as the Panasonic PV500 in terms of picture quality(and it's a few hundred pounds less and in stock!). Note the following :

i) The first one I had, the inbuilt digital tuner did not work however as I was using Sky I didn't discover it for 2 weeks. The picture was superb, blacks good, colours good and colour banding only present on the poor bit-rate channels on Sky. The replacement set works perfectly.

ii) The set only officially supports 3 out of 4 of the Hi-def resolutions so watch out for this if you definitely want 720p/50Hz resolution, this set may not provide it as a certainty.

any specific questions let me know.. got my tv from homecinematv, very good service when the set needed replacing and good price too,

If the JVC spec is correct then no, it will not support 720p/50Hz, but sky will also apparently broadcast some material in 1080/50Hz which is supported. Don't know either yet whether or not the Sky box can upscale 720p/50 to 1080/50Hz.. maybe it will be able to do this ? If not then a rate converter can be bought (changes 720p/50 into 720p/60).

Either way this TV has a good picture as it is now on standard definition material (has inbuilt JVC scaler technology that helps subtly), to my eyes of course !

Here's a spec list :
