Looking for a cheapish all in one that could be mounted flat on a wall
    "lifestyle" fashion

    Any suggestions?
There's plenty of cheap wall mounted audio systems out there, but can't say I have seen a DVD one.

just for the kitchen wall - so I am really after nothing fancy or expensive - just to go alongside a wall mounted LCD, so hopefully I can just plumb it all in the partition walls

You have a strange perception of cheap :D
    Cheap rules out B&O :thumbsdow
Or the Panasonic you referenced (also I want small wall mounted speakers)
I meant like £100 cheap - just a supermarket set really.

Well actually it is a very large kitchen come breakfast room 20 ft long.
But no, I wasn't too bothered about 5.1. I might just mount the front pair.
Mainly the LCD is for watching TV, but I wanted something for playing music, and the occassional DVD - so it would replace the existing stereo

PS note my edits above :)

to fill a 20ft room you need a BIG sound what i would suggest is geta wall mounted DVD player and hide a stereo AMP in a cupboard and run a couple of pairs of ceiling speakers

Nah, I am not trying to fill the room with sound, its the kitchen, not the home cinema (I already have that covered).
Just something cheap and cheerful. The speakers in the LCD TV are already loud enough.
I mainly just wanted to dispenses of the current clutter and cables of a DVD player, and a separate stereo system, and put them in one box.

Is there a wall mounted DVD player.
Not like that one you linked to before, one that has the controls and DVD on the front, as opposed to the side as that would, and actually has a wall mounted fitting. AND cheap :)
