Whats the best way to connect up a TV with 3 SCART sockets, a Sky+ box, a DVD player, and a DVD recorder?

I realise that each unit can be connected to the TV with a SCART-SCART, but I am more worried about where I should put the aerial lead coming from my roof.

Right - First scart should go from the tv scart on your sky+ box to ext 2 on your DVD recorder. A second scart should then go from your ext 1 on your DVD recorder to the ext 1 scart connection on your TV. This will ensure that your recordings as well as your normal watching will all be RGB.

Your DVD player would then be connected to the VCR scart on your sky+ box and you will also get a RGB picture with this.

For your aerial this would connect to your sky+ aerial connect. You would then run a coax cable from your sky+ output to the aerial input on your recorder. Another coax cable would then go from the output on your recorder straight to the tv.

Now you will be able to record from your terrestial channels also.

I was thinking this as I was reading, not all units support RGB via their 2nd/3rd SCART sockets!!!

I had them connected up but was missing some of the features. Will disconnect and do it all again!!

If your recorder supports RGB in and out what I described above will work. With the VCR scart connection on your SKY+ box you will get an RGB picture if you connect your DVD player to this.
