Does anyone have any bad experiences with plasma's...

Has anyone dropped one? Broken it while transporting it? Had it fall off the wall?

I haven't got a plasma yet  but it would be nice to hear a few horror stories to cheer me up... :D

I sold my PW6 and got a 435xde, luckily I managed to get a refund, then I bought an NEC 43 XM3 and really didn't get on with it and lost about £600 in a week.

I would class both the Pioneer and NEC experiences as bad. ;)

    How does the HD6 compare?

It is better to learn from other peoples experiences rather than your own.....especially expensive ones :)

Sorry, it was the first time back in here since I got my HD6 and Crystalio and the first post I read was "My last post, Goodbye everyone! " and I couldn't resist. ;)

How does it compare with what, the PW6?

It is 95% as good as the HD6 when watching TV, DVD and playing games, and when using proper Hi-Def at 1080i and 720p it is 90% there when sitting properly (in other words not standing 2 ft away from the screen).
Add a scaler and the HD Panny is stunning, is going from a £1100 set up to a £4500 set up worth the extra 5-10%? Only you can answer that.

You want the real deal with your post? I had a Fuji 50" broken by the couriers, took 6 months for the insurance to pay. They go like a car windscreen, little grey granules of glass behind the plastic front filter, all in a little pile at the bottom. Such a shame, and at the time £5500 worth of plasma.

I had a Panny 50" broken in the first delivery by couriers, the panel was cracked all over.

I got a new Panny two days after the incident was reported.
