I don't like sky rip off prices and wondered if its possible to buy a system that enables more choice in channels mybe quality channels..i am not a freeloader and would want to ideally pay a one off subscription [or yearly].

Top up channels look pretty shi.e to me  Sky would be ok if it was say £20 month for the lot. Top up has no good sports channels the boy is mad on the simpsons etc. I don't love sky this is my point, its got a few channels we want but not coupled with a load of crap channels for £40 a month. Most of the movies on sky i have well before them anyway.

Yep a RX8 would be great if it was only £10 grand as well :)
As for already seeing movies before SKY are allowed to show them there is one simple answeer, downgrade your subscription.
Cancel the lot if you feel that strongly, I know I would and Simpsons is on CH4 now anyway so your boy will be happy.

Why dont you do some research on the european satellite providers a lot of these channels are transmitted in english. You may have seen some at your local pub, watching the football at 3pm on a saturday perhaps :D .
There is alot more out there than sky its just that rupert doesnt want you to know about it.
Try goggling satdudez and toecutters den forums for more info. :)
