    Hey Guys,

My friend has a mnagaer discount card at currys/pc world and is offering to purchase a TV for me. He currently receives 40% discount. Im looking for a good make and a budget of 800-850 with the discount so around the 1350 mark. I would prefer if it came with speakers and a stand. Their website does not actually have that many tvs, esp the samsung a sonys that i would like. Would the sony w2000 with stand and speakers be a good deal for £750? any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

also what are the differences between the sony v3000 and w2000, i belive the w2000 is an old model? however is it still good?

c heck out that it has both 1080P output as well as input. as most LCD large tv dont have the output. what looks like a bargain may not be the bargain. try the Sharp 42/37 model LCD and the Hitachi 37/42 models that have 1080P. but offcourse they only work as standard non HD tv if only got a 720 source ie normal sky and FREEVIEW> haveing gold SCARTS would help a little.

The V3000 is a nice STEP UP model which adds many features and has overally better performance. So considering this I would esily celect the V3000 or even the 40W3000 if it fits the budget

cheers for that, the v3000 is currently being sold at currys at £1100 si i can get it for £660. However the W2000 is being sold at 1279 and i can get it for 769. However the W2000 comes with a stand and 5.1 speakers. The speakers dont look great - click here

Which one is it worth getting? is the difference THAT much or are they both great tvs? Doe anybody know if currys have any other tvs such as the w3000 as i cannot find it on the website, or any other bundle packages. thank you
