I had no idea this was out. Due South is one of my all-time fave TV series.

Aye, I never relakised either. I think it had a very small production run, is canadian only, with crap packaging, no chapter stops and no features.

I just want to know what the picture is like.

Oh and btw, it does not include the pilot, but is still cheap at around £40.

    Hi,

I found the following link for a tiny bit more info.

    http://home.hiwaay.net/~warydbom/duesouth/newsflash.htm

Oh, and, it doesn't say anything about the picture or sound formats, but I'm guessing they'll be 4:3 and Stereo. However, if you go to...:

    http://www.amazon.ca/exec/obidos/ASIN/B00006RG6Y/qid=1042499691/702-3507071-5228028

.... you'll find a brief viewer review, that says the picture is pretty bad.

I do note, however, that on the same site, there is the possibility of an R2 release from Momentum Pictures.

Let's see if we can persuade them to release the series, in a Season-by-Season format, uncut and uncensored; with at least a Dolby Surround soundtrack; a ton of extras; the Pilot Episode, and make sure that the set is dual-layered, but NOT on flipper discs!

I'll try to post contact details (for Momentum) in a day or so.

I don't think a flipper matters so much - barely in fact - if it's a episodal TV release.

    Confucious,

Well, I beg to differ. I admit, I understand where you are coming from, but the other problem with "flippers" is that:

    1) It makes checking which side to play first, that tiny bit more problematic.

    2) You have to take extra, extra care when handling the disc and/or removing it from the package, so as to not cause any damage to it.

Hence, my request for non-flipper discs.
