Question Anthem mrx300 No front left and right

Standard Member
Just purchased a 2nd hand Anthem MRX300. I have a problem with no sound from the front left and right channel?
Tests to date:
Run manual signal test - no sound from front left and right but sound from all other channels
Run ARC test - does not pass 1st step as it starts with front left
Rest amplifier using power on / hold tuner button
Connected a power amplifier to the pre-out left and right and amplifier works perfectly?

So the amplifier is producing a front left and right signal (pre out test) but will not amplify the signal?
Why is it both the front left and right? Are they on the same amplifier circuit?

Any ideas - your help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Does not sound too good. If you have done a full reset of the receiver and that nothing comes out you may have dead amps. Have you sent an email to Anthem; they usually answer quite quickly. I bet you a fiver that they will tell you to send it to your local repair centre but it's worth a try. Can't you just return it to the guy who sold it to you?
