for the budget i have these are the three sets i have narrowed it down to,in your words of wisdom what is the best?

panasonic TX-P42U30B
PANASONIC Viera TX-P42U30B 42" Full HD Plasma TV buy online | Currys

there have been some very positive coments about the D450 despite it being only 780,best looking aswell

If football is key and you have Sky HD, go for the Panaosnic plasma. The Samsung LCD will be motion blur central as no 100hz processing

It's not really a key feature as I don't have sky sports HD,don't have a blu ray player either,just every day virgin HD channels

Well go to Currys tonight and look at the Samsung plasma and Panasonic plasma for yourself to see which YOU prefer - they should both do what you want (i.e. show television programmes )

I still wouldn't go for an entry level Samsung LCD myself
