Another - Whats it on Question

I've got a Rel Stadium III which is downward firing.
It is currently spiked on carpet which is laid over dense rubber underlay on a concrete base.
Question is - Would it improve the performance if I stood it on a marble or slate slab.
The spikes probably go through to the concrete base but as it's downfiring would the carpet muffle/absorb some of the shifted air altering the effect.

Also, how does this sub compare to the SVS subs that are getting a lot of discussion lately.

lol

i love my strata 5, and in my current abode its nicely enough..but one day, i will have a decent size home cinema/hifi room....and i want a stadium III after listening to one in a 7oaks branch a while ago...lol

we had about 20 people looking thru the windows when i put on a somewhat bassy track and cranked it up with some, hmm, KEF Reference speakers, cant remember which ones now......this was in the demo room in a building that used to be a bank...lol...and people could still feel/hear it outside..lol

Thanks for your observations Kb - looks like you've had a busy afternoon on this site :)

I think I need to put my hands up and admit I have no bl**dy idea how to set it up properly. :suicide:
I'll put out a plea for local assistance when I get a minute.
