Hi after owning this recorder for a week now I'm really impressed, slowly going through the features although i have to keep resorting to the manuals again... my question, my daugther has recently scratch up alot of the dvds i bought and I wanted to make copies for her, so when I'm at work my wife can put them on for her and also for the portable dvd player in the car, Ive connected up the dvd player and have recorded one film without problems, is there any way to speed the process up, ie can i record to hdr and then hi speed record it to the dvd-r. or is there any other way to do this quickly without recording directly to the dvd-r while the original disc is playing.

    thanks for looking
