I currently have a Yamaha Yas 150 soundbar connected to a Samsung 55" TV and it really does not cut it so am looking for something better. Dialogue is not very clear at low volume which is my main reason for looking for something else.
I also stream my music mainly Hardstyle so looking for good bass.
Whereas I don't have a budget as such I am not looking to pay silly money.
It needs to be able to be wall mounted though I actually hang them from the TV itself.

    Cheers in advance.

After a little bit of research I am liking the Samsung HWMS6500 and it is just at the edge of how much I want to pay max.

i have the 650 if its any help - sure its the same but not curved.

it is very good sound with hardly any distortion. you can crank it up a fair bit and it doesn sound loud or harsh, but the noise certainly travels through the house!!

base is quite good considering the size of the woofers - no separate sub so be realistic.

i had started looking at a much cheaper HW-k450 which are on offer at currys (i already have an older version of these in another room) but the MS650 really did impress.

price wise, not sure it trully is a £500 soundbar, but there are / were deal such as free UHD player and £200 off a telly - even as low as £350 direct iirc. at those prices.......

Can anyone tell how I adjust the bass on this soundbar?

Edit: Figured it out by turning over the page of the manual.:laugh::laugh::laugh:

Very initial as I am still playing around with the settings.
Initially I connected via HDMI ARC but it did not sound right though that maybe me not setting it up right. Switched to optical and things sounded, to me, far better and the first think I noticed was that dialogue was far clearer.
This soundbar is paired with a Samsung UE55KU6000 55" TV which because a medical condition confines me to bed a bit to often is in my bedroom. So I need to be able to hear dialogue clearly at lower volumes which the Yamaha Yas 105 really did not do well. Have not bunged music through the soundbar yet except for a little after setting up bluetooth which was very simple.
As I learn more I will post back.

Thanks. Do you get an optical cable with it? How does this connect/work? Is this instead of HDMI or alongside?

No you do not get an optical cable with it, the only cable you get is a power lead. Oddly if you buy the mounting kit (WMN300SBXU) you get a power lead pass through cable which means that you connect the power lead to the sound bar and another from the soundbar to the TV which means the TV remote turns the soundbar on and on with the TV. Why this does not come with the soundbar is a mystery but I suspect you can pick one up on Ebay.

Back to the optical cable I have always used them with my sound bars so have a few in my cable box. Just a case of connecting sound bar to the TV then changing the sound source in the TV settings and you are good to go. And no I do not have an HDMI connected.

ive connected mine thru HDMI and also optical - can't say i noticed any difference between the 2 (Sony telly)

The soundbar does switch on and off with the telly but in my case for some reason (i think its the sony app on the phone) switched on itself randomly when the telly is off!
