OK, never had any problems with SS before until now.

Just Built a new PC so have gone through the motions of re-installing SS3.2, reimporting my MP3 library etc..

Have then wiped the disk on my HD3 and begun re-transferring about 300 albums back across to my HD3 converting to 64k Atrac3+ in the process.

Problem is I have about 10 albums that SS refuses to transfer, comes up with a message saying that SS is "unable to transfer as either it cannot find the music source files or the files may be copyrighted".

Have tried transferring as MP3 and also get same problem. Source files are there as I've just imported them! and they aren't copyrighted. :suicide:

    Any ideas?

Were those tracks ripped using a version < ss3.2 ? If so thats your problem. And unfortunately you'll probably have to rip them again. (which should not take too long with a new pc)

    I use WMplayer to rip Cd's to 320k MP3.

Also even more annoyingly I have used SS3.2 to transfer these as Atrac across to my HD3 before PC rebuild?!?!

This is another demonstration of my point about rights-managed music: it penalises the honest consumer. If you see my thread about who benefits from DRM, you'll see the troubles I've been having - self-inflicted though some of these have been ...

I think it may just be SS being "picky" about my MP3's think I'll try editing them then re-import.

Failing that I'll just throw the HD3 in the bin and buy something else!
