I already had a thread from a while ago but instead of bumping a year old thread I thought i'd start a new one. This is our first house so not much spare money at the moment! Not a patch on some of the brilliant/huge set ups on here!

I've quiet a few changes in my head that hopefully will be happening soon... The carpet is awful so first thing to change is that... think we'll change it for either a much nicer carpet or possibly wood. Will allow me to make a better job of hiding the surround cables too!

Planning on wall mounting the TV soon and also changing the ikea units. With the new sofa been much higher then the old one I also need to get some higher stands! I guess this thread will log changes I make too! Hopefully it won't be too long!

Going to try and persuade the gf that 42" is not enough... 50+ is better...

    Panasonic TX-P42GT30
    B&W 685, 686, HTM62 and ASW608
    Denon 1912
    Panasonic DMP-BDT110EB
    XBox 360
    Sky HD
    Logitech Harmony Touch

Much comfier sofa... as you can see it blocks off the surrounds a bit!

Gear remains the same - no changes yet. :(

    Newest toy - absolutely brilliant.

Blu collection starting to build up... with quiet a few on the way I've bought just over 100 in a year.

Favourite picture in the room is this picture... 30,000 words to most Beatles songs which make up a record.

Looking good..Are the fronts just sat on the top ?? if so pop a blob of blutac under each corner just to isolate & reduce wobble/vibration ...

Nice looking setup, if you haven't tried it yet try something under your speaker stands, encyclopaedia books or something similar to raise them closer to ear level so the arms don't obstruct the sound, if you hear an improvement you know the next purchase is taller stands :smashin:

Looks good - I'm enjoying the Touch remote as well, I had the "One" before which I liked but the Touch definitely has the edge IMO.

I would doubt you'd notice any difference with taller stands other than it possibly looking a bit silly - the tweeters aren't obstructed so you're not going to be experiencing any muffled sound which would spoil the effect.

    Cheers folks!

They're on little plastic sticker things that come with the speakers. :smashin:

Cheers for the tip - will raid the gfs bookshelf and see what I can find. Just worried that higher stands will look a bit daft. The cat will no doubt think its a new toy too...

    COYH!

The ikea stands are pretty good to be fair. At £40 each they do a decent job. Eventually I want to put the TV on the wall, get a single TV unit and put the fronts on speaker stands either side.

I definitely prefer the touch but the layout annoys me sometimes. I don't like the play/forward/back buttons etc at the top...

Couldn't agree more about the Touch!

I love that Beatles artwork!:love:

Can I ask, is it something you purchased are made yourself?

    Thanks:thumbsup:

I wish I had created it!

Its from a guy called Nick Prints... cheap too - the frame was much more expensive. Think the print is about £50.
