the owners are far to picky!
Anyone forking out more than 2k for a screen should be very picky. If they wern't there is no way they could justify spending that much. I hope you study your screen closely, if you don't you are a mug spending that much when there are perfectly good screens from the same manufacturer for much less.
In the old days I always struggled with trinitrons because of the grill lines. I saw them at several feet away. Others claimed to never see them, lucky them.
I'm with you Mr Eddy. I'm lucky enough to have very good eyesight and I see stuff like that easily too. I spot the horrible contrast-changing effects (like those that are currently upsetting some PV500 owners) easily too. I have had some good news though - the 42PD7200 has this sort of Dynamic contrast mode but, YOU CAN TURN IT OFF. Now, if only Panasonic had thought of that.
you must be able to turn it off in the service menu, someone go outside panasonic warehouse with a big gun and demand to have it turned off!
you can take the panny out of "dynamic" mode its in the menu.
