My PHD8 should be arriving in the next two days, and although i should have worked this out by now, im still thinking about connecting my PC up, this is how i plan to have everything connected:

i have ordered a component board which will connect my DVD player

through VGA i would like to connect my PC

Sky will be via Svideo for now...

My Graphics card has DVI out and VGA out, however i dont really want to buy a DVI card for the PHD8, but my PC monitor ONLY has VGA in.

Would i be able to connect the plasma via VGA lead and my PC monitor via a DVI - VGA lead? Will this result in PQ difficulties on my PC monitor?

should be fine for the PC monitor, im pretty sure DVI outputs on PC cards can output analogue as well :)

you could cancel the component, and input this to the VGA, then buy a DVI board instead? I dont know whether the DVI board is for PC use (VGA/XGAetc) or video use (1280x720p/1920x1080i etc) or both, anyone?
