I've recently got my first Mac and when a mate was setting it up, he introduced me to the magical world of downloading films.

I'd like to be able to view these on my TV so want to know the best way to stream? I am NOT technical at all so the simplest way would be best please?

I have a PS3 and Vuze is now showing up on it? Is it best to just use this or some other stand alone wireless media streamer?

I just have a normal Sky broadband wireless router, imac is obviously wireless and the rest of my AV is in my signature.

So what's easiest and best way please?

I'd also like to copy all my old DVDs onto an external HD [they're so cheap now!] so I can free up shelf space etc.

    Many thanks

P.S I have tried a search but the only thing coming up are 6+ months old and I know things move so quickly!

Downloading legitimate films of course, piracy is not permitted or discussed......before a mod gives you a warning.

WDTV Live would do what your after and is a good player.

Thanks for the replies and of course it's legitimate downloads!

Thanks for the reply, so the PS3 won't be up to the task?
