So, I'm building a new subwoofer.

It's going to be built around an audiobahn aw150t 15" driver. The driver arrived about 50 mins ago.

This weekend, I'll hopefully start making a cut list, then possibly start the box.

I'll post some pictures of the build ASAP.

Im sure the audiobahn will do a great job even with little power, just make sure you get the right ohm driver.
if its 4ohm look at the aw150t.

All the best with your build, make sure you take plenty of pictures :)

are the AW150T single or dual 4 ohm? i was tempted to get for of them at first as they would match my 18" Audiobahn in looks,

i've just ordered 2 of my 4 Audiobahn subwoofers - should be with me friday for my build which is a few months away yet.

Mine is single 4ohm. Works perfectly for what I need.
I shall be starting on my cab this weekend hopefully. The pictures will be flowing ;)

Good luck with your build too!!

Started on the front baffle today.

The front is going to be gloss black

Rest will either be clad in 6mm ply, or veneered. Haven't decided on that bit yet.

    Hope you like the photos

One of them is a jag, no rover though.

    The jaguar is an xk120
There is a Maserati Indy, and a Daimler consort

    Good try though :)

    :( not happy!!!

My behringer amp (nu1000) has died. Keeps popping fuses. Was not even on 1/4 gain.
Unfortunately, I replaced the fan with a quiet one. I'm assuming the warranty will be void because I've opened the case? Anyone know? Has anyone tried returning a behringer that's been opened?
Looks like I'm going to have to stump the cash for another new amp. I think I'm going to get the 400w amp from the bk xxls 400. Bk sell them for £177 including post.

    Bugger.

Does it pop fuses straight away.
How old is it. Have you tried another lead.

What fuse is it popping? the internal or the one on the kettle lead,

if in the kettle lead is it a 13amp fuse fitted?

internal fuses normally blow when wires touch on speaker wires.

If you can get the amp for that money then take it. I bought the smaller 250w amp from them at £162 (I think) and with the Peerless xls12 it would blow your head off. Gain set to 12 o'clock. Very happy with it and beautifully put together.

    Good luck.

It's popping the internal fuse, no speaker wires touching.
I spoke to amazon last night, that's where I got it from. They are sending a replacement out, no questions asked!! Brilliant service.

I may still get the amp from bk. I'll see how the 2nd nu1000 fares.

    Thanks :)

That's great service and just means changing the fan over again.

Yeah, brilliant service!! Especially as I didn't even contact them until 9:30pm last night!!

I may not bother changing the fan over. If I keep the amp, I'll leave the original fan in, I'm putting the amp in the under stairs cupboard anyway, so I won't hear it.
I'll probably sell the new unopened one on eBay though.

Can never fault Amazon customer service, we always get replacements/refunded straight away, do you not have to send the faulty one back though?

glad you got it sorted anyway,

    Build is looking good aswell,

Scott - I changed the fan as I was going to have it in my cab under the tv. I've changed that to now be in the cupboard.

M87NER - I've never had to send anything back to amazon, but I'm really impressed. I have to send the faulty one back within 30 days.

Thanks for the comments. I'll keep the post updated with pics :)

    A few more photos.

The piece I've made this evening is really just a template for the top and bottom. I thought I would put it together just to see how big it will be.

Will hopefully get the top and bottom cut tomorrow, back plate too.
