Hello,
Having been trying to sort this problem out for a while and have came to the conclusion that it is a bug......
When using HDMI to connect your PS3 to your Amp to get Uncompressed 5.1 with Blu Ray.....it works fine, you can even switch to DD 5.1 no problem.
But when Playing games or listening to music all you get is FORCED 2.1 uncompressed sound....although the amp will show that 5.1 channels of sound are available.
The only way to get DD again coming from your PS3 games or use Pro logic is to untick all the 7.1 -5.1 uncompressed options in your HDMI setup.
Its a little bit annoying especially with the Blu Ray 720p problem.
