Bought from Sound and Vision 28 days ago, see my attached email to customer services:

Anyone any thoughts on this? What is the likelihood of a replacement rather than a repair? All comments thoughts and suggestions welcome :)

Sound and Vision don't fix them, you have to phone Panasonic directly 08705-357357

See if they will provide a loaner when they pick it up for repair.

Cheers for the reply Tim, I searched for similar problems after I had posted, and found that Dannykos had the same problem, almost an identical description of the fault too!

Will give Panny a call tomorrow first thing and let you all know how I get on.

    Cheers,

    Charlie

Just called Panasonic and spoken to a couple of fairly helpful people.

Unit is being collected tomorrow, no loan units are available at present :( but as it doesn't work there is obviously no point in waiting for one.

No indication as to timescale for repair, but I have told them that I think it needs a new PSU :D

You could have had a refund or replacement from the retailer if you wished. Hopefully Panny will be quick though as otherwise...:suicide:

Pulsating effect was exactly the same with mine. I had a new PSU fitted quickly by Panasonic. They should be well practiced at it as they seem to have to replace the PSUs on around 35% of models sold.

Just spoken to Panasonic, the unit was collected by courier on Tuesday, and is at least on their system, waiting to be 'picked'

I asked how long this process would take and was told that it would be fixed and on its way back either at the end of next week, or early the following week. I can cope with a two week turn around, but any longer I feel is unreasonable. I hope the unit comes back in perfect condition, otherwise I shall probably be asking for advice on how to proceed.

Just taken delivery of my newly fixed pj. (If anyone is reading this :D )

    Advice states:

    Replaced power supply. Tested ok.

Finishing early to get home and test it. an 8 day turn around is not too bad tbh, but judgement will be reserved until later......
