OK guys I now have the cash burning a hole in my pocket. I have decided that I will go for 3D after all even though I wasnt going to initially as I have the full monty with Sky HD I already get it as part of my package...
As always I am tying myself in knots regarding the TV to go for... In an ideal world I would get the best 50 LED 3D TV I could get but I just cant afford it!!
So let me list my wants/priorities
As cheap as possible but with a net cost of no more than £1100ish
Low power consumption (sub 200w but ideally nearer to 100w)
Size 46-50
Internet ready (Ethernet or WiFi) iPlayer is my priority
Ideally at least two pairs of 3D glasses - three or even four would be great!
At the moment I am really looking at Plasma as it is cheapest the models being Samsung PS50C680 @ £898 with bundle or the PS50C6900 @ £1052. As a Sky HD customer I can get £300 cash back on the LG TVs which almost brings the 47LX9900 into my price range as it is £1599 on Amazon (one of the participating retailers) then there is the Samsung LE46C750 @ £1169.
Are there any that I have missed?
I guess that the obvious answer is the 680 as long as there isnt much compromise in terms of performance and running costs vs the LEDs?
Any thoughts on this would be much appreciated....
