Watching films on my hitachi 505 there are "stop gaps " in the sound. As the film is playng there will be a pause in the sound as if the movie has a peice missing. This happens around 3 times per film. Is there a fault with my player. I do wipe down the dvd before placing in tray?

    Cheers for any help

Sound drop outs are a bad sign. How long have you had the player? You could try a CD lens cleaner, but I reckon you're in the market for a new player. Sorry! <img src="frown.gif" border="0">
