I've asked this on iPodlounge but no-one seems to reply on there.

Anyways I use my iPod to and from and at work Mon-Fri, however, when I come back to it on Monday morning after being off all weekend I can only switch it on with the Menu button. This seems to be causing a reset as the Apple logo comes up and it takes ages to boot.

It's also reseting my setting for the Clicker sound ?

Anyone any suggestions ? I have the latest firmware etc etc ?

    Cheers :)

    Paul.

Other then first generation iPods, all iPods go into what's called deep sleep after 36 hours, to help preserve power:

which produces the Apple logo on wakening, prior to the menu being displayed. But this shouldn't affect clicker volume, as far as I'm aware.

    Thanks for that :)

I have the clicker set to headphones, but when it wakes it's gone back to speaker :(

This feature is frustrating as I like to select Shuffle (and I wont get through 2500 songs in my travelling time Mon-Fri), but of course after the deep sleep mode the Shuffle starts from the beginning gain. But I have learned to live with it.

Might go and leave a suggestion to fix it on Apple's site :)
