I bought Angel Season 1 - minus the 2nd DVD (was lost) a while back and was going to re-sell - but when I went to look at the DVDs last night - DVD 1 looks different to all the rest.

Can anyone with this boxset confirm that the DVD is printed differently to the others in the box-set (this is the old style booklet type boxset)

    (1) Underside of DVD is gold rather than silver like the rest

    (2) Has RITEK CA written on the inside circular edge - none of the others do - although this one does also seem to have the right serial number

    (3) DVD front is paler than the rest - much lighter shade of blue - almost turqoise (perhaps it was just left in the sun at some time ?)

    (4) Inner circle of front of disk (ie you have the outer circle with label, then the 2nd circle, then the 3rd one which is clear) - the 2nd circle on the first DVD is reflective just like a mirror - on all the other DVDs its clear perspex

    Thanks for any help,

    Mark.

You didn't specify which region you are talking about. I think you mean region 2 right?

Can confirm that all discs are the same style... hang on I'll scan it for you...

"Ritek" are a manufacturer of blank DVDs I believe which would indicate that you have been slipped a copy :(

Lex - thanks for the replies - its R2.

I've taken some photos and done a Neroinfo tool scan on the DVD - see below

I think my thing about it having Ritek on the back may be a red herring - as some DVDs I definately know are legit have Ritek CA on the back too

If it is a fake - its Dual Layer - as its got about 7 Gig of Data on it - interestingly though it is not R0, and it still has CSS Encryption on it.

That is strange - it certainly looks different from the rest.

Nero says that the format is: 4:3 From memory I am sure all the Angel seasons were 16:9 ?

Season 1 was 4:3, all the other Seasons were Widescreen so that is correct.

If anything it looks like the disc has been left on display and has faded, maybe when it was printed their ink was getting low, sure Fox will replace it for you if you ask.

Strange. I don't have any that I am aware of - certainly all 5 Angel seasons I have don't contain any.
