Good Spot. I have placed an order. I'll wait for the out of stock kiss off.
I got the "kiss off" when I tried to order it - so if you didn't perhaps you're in luck?!
Ordered last night, all seemed to go ok.
Wont hold my breath mind.
This is the second time in a week they have done this now (Futurama complete box set £15, see thread in DVD bargains). Surely there is someone we can complain to about this.
I beleive this is a deliberate attempt to draw people into the online store, they have absolutley no intention of fulfilling any of these orders and i think its about time they were brought to book over this.
Maybe there is something we can do about it My family were over for xmas and my Brother in law works for trading standards so he is going to look into it.
As he said even a letter to wh they have to sit up and take notice, and everybody should complain to the trading standards as they have to log all complaints
Let us know what he comes up with.
Everybody keep an eye on WH SITHs site and record all bogus offers here. This will act as a log should a formal complaint take place
Yes i certainly will, everybody email whsmiths i have about what they are playing at by these stupid low prices, perhaps it makes it look good so many people logging on there site
I think that if they screw up they should be forced to fulfil the orders! I mean everybody knows it's BS that they are out of stock
Hope everyones going to fill this in
Nice one Guysie
Just did, lets see what happens eh.
No wonder they are £135m in the red,
what a great way to lose customers geesh!
Greg Hook has just posted on the original futurama boxset for £14.99 forum:
Shops are in fact under no obligation to sell you anything.

So much for complaining

no but its still illegal for them to offer something which is unavailable thats why they say its out of stock and not that they mispriced it. If they constantly do it though then trading standards will start to take notice.
This is what happens when you complain to an official department
If you have a complaint about advertising, then you should send a complaint letter by Recorded Delivery saying why you are unhappy with the advert.**You should ask them to look into the matter and explain the basis of the advert and the offered price. If you feel it has been misleading, then say you will report the matter to the Office of Fair Trading ( although this office does not act on individual complaints on behalf of the consumer, it will log details and if sufficient are received then the OFT does have powers to act). Ask for a reply in 14 days.
They ask you to complain again in a more official manner, which takes time and money and in the long run is not worth the effort as nothing will get done. Welcome to Britain!
