How long have we had to wait for season 2 on Angel on channel 4! It's totally out of sync with Buffy now. Why so long?

    Blame Channel 4 for that.

If they hadn't made such a massive cock up with the first season we may have got it sooner.

Plus they aren't even showing it in widescreen!

Altough it doesn't really matter that it is not in synch with Buffy anymore. There were quite a few crossovers in season 1 of Angel but not many at all in season 2. And season 3 onwards there isn't any.

Is Channel 4 fit to handle anything in the sci-fi line. Babylon 5 was constantly moved about, then put on at a early time slot so it had to be cut, then repeated some times after midnight uncut.
IanB as the above state, in the US Angel was shown after Buffy on the same channel so stories could start in one and cross over into the other. I think Ch4 even started the first episode of Angel a week late so would always be a week out of sync with Buffy on BBC2.

You wont have to worry about season 3 with Ch4 as they said earlier in the year that they wouldn't be buying it.

    Ian B,

No offence mate, but if you don't know about C4's massive screw-up with Angel: Season 1, then you obviously don't take much of an interest in the show. ;)

To cut a long story short, C4 decided to air a show that was rated "15" or "18", at 6pm in the evening, and hack it to pieces, to render it suitable for kids. Shows that lasted 42 minutes long, uncut, would be cut down to a poxy 34 minutes!!!

Despite fans of the show complaining about the proposed timeslot, before the show aired on C4, C4 took no notice, then got a bo**icking from the ITC about airing unsuitable material during pre-watershed hours.

I suppose because they keep screwing sci-fi up most fans watched it on Sky 1, and for the others who do not have Sky 1 stooped watching because of the mess that was made of it.

Not only that but Ch4 would only get about 20 minutes of useable footage if they wanted to show it at 6pm.

I don't know if Sky cut Angel as i watched the US versions but as Sky cut Buffy a number of times, it is probably a fair guess that they cut Angel too. And these were at later broadcast times.
