Season one of Andromeda is now up for pre-order, no idea this was on the cards. I watched season one and not any more, can't remember why I think it was ok (was it on Sky? I ditched sky at some point). How did the series turn out? What was it filmed on will it look good on blu? Its going to have to get a lot cheaper though!

I think it will be an upscale, it wasn't made in HD and I highly doubt they have done a TNG style remaster.

I personally enjoyed the entire run, the last series was certainly different though, will be interesting to see how this turns out.

I see a DVD release at the same time, so maybe they have done something. Looks like previous DVD boxsets are hard to get - I only looked at amazon, mostly third party sellers.

Looks like a new company got the rights which probably explains the unavailability of the older releases, at that price I would hope the BD is true HD but even then it's expensive, TNG has a far bigger fan base and costs the same so if it does turn out to be an upscale and seeing as the complete Farscape series only cost £70 then I doubt it going to sell very well, now if it was £30-35 I might have been tempted.

Noticed a copy of season one, in HMV this afternoon. Price was around the £40 mark. Too steep for me. I'd be willing to shell out £20 for this but that's about all

Same here, enjoyed the show and if it were £15-20 I would be tempted to pick it up but they want TNG Remastered prices for a simple upscale, Farscape got it right pricing the boxset of all 4 seasons at £60

S1 and S2 are now £9.99 with zavvi and with some amazon resellers, so does anyone have these? How is the PQ? Is it all just an upscale?

I had Season 1 and it's definitely just an upscale and not a very good one as they have used a fair amount of DNR making everything quite waxy.

I have the whole collection on Blu-ray and also on DVD I did pretty much do a side-by-side comparison of both and the Blu-ray does look a bit better sharpened up some for what it could be. The sound is definitely improved I don't see that idea that the scanlines are gone off a Ram The sound is definitely improved I don't see that idea that the scanlines are gone on for Rommie's hologram. I actually appreciate how it comes packaged and I also appreciate the upgrade and clarity. The sound also is noticeably better which I'm grateful for is well. I know it is missing some bonus material but I'm OK with that because I do have the DVD if I ever want to go back and see it. The biggest thing I'm happy about though is because it's on Blu-ray the discs them self or more adorable than standard DVD. More resistant to scratching it normal use
So to be honest in conclusion I think it was very much worth it great show if you're looking for something different other than just Star Trek or Star Wars it is definitely unique story onto itself

It got worse as it went on, by the end it was nothing like the first season but it did have an ending.
