The new Denon AVR-4802 can be found at www.denon.com/catalog/pdfs/AVR48023final.pdf

How long before the AVR-5802 (US version of the updated AVC-ASE+ or whatever they might call it) is announced thus stuffing all of those AVC-A1SE owners (myself included!) awaiting the promised upgrades!!

    Regards

Having just bought my A1se they better do an upgrade for it. If Onkyo can do it why not Denon. They stand to make a lot of customers very unhappy if they bring out another amp.

If they do the upgrade i wonder if it will include the variable crossover as well?

    regards

;)Let's hope Denon are going to shock us all (pleasantly!) by providing a fantastic upgrade at a reasonable price. Perhaps they'll even offer two separate upgrades? One with DPLII and a few other enhancements and another (more costly) to bring the AVC-A1SE right back up to the cutting edge of AV developments again. I'd be willing to pay a good few £££'s to see my AVC-A1SE upgraded rather than having to fizz if they were to introduce a new model altogether.

Like you Jase, I only bought my AVC-A1SE in June and this was after being assured by Hayden Labs that it would definitely be upgraded to DPLII at the very least.

    Regards

That's *exactly* the problem with the Denon AVC-A1SE upgrade or not! There are rumours and counter rumours! Will they? Won't they? New amp? Old amp upgraded? How much? Software? Hardware? Both? Dealer fitted? PC upgrade? Sooner? Later? Firewire? THX Post Processing for DTS ES Discrete? DTS 24/96? Groan! The list is endless! Zzzzzzzzzzzz!

I wish Denon would just let us know exactly what's happening, PLEASE!

Also worth noting everyone, is that the 4802 will also have DTS 96/24 5.1 decoding for Dvd-video.

Have a look at this link www.denon.com under Home audio, products,THX receivers etc its in the summary of features.

The A1se upgrade better have these features & more if its going to stay top of heap.

    cheers

I cant get the link to work properly directly to relevant page!!
