I want to send a dvd of home movie material to the US. I want to make a basic menu using a family photograph and I want this to be widescreen. I know that the dimensions for NTSC are 720x480 pixels, but I need to know the correct dimensions are for an image so that when it's anamorphically stretched it will be correctly displayed.

    can anyone help?

856x480 is the square pixel resolution of NTSC ( ie unsquished) giving a squeeze factor of 1.189.
