Analogue to digital passthrough or Canopus?

    Which would give the better quality when transferring old VHS tapes to DVD?

    I doubt there will be much, if any difference between the two. IMO if your camcorder can do the A>D conversion then you should save the money that buying the Canopus ADVC converter will cost and just use your camcorder.
