    That's 2.04cm^2 per £1

Even @ £1799 the 55B7 is 4.64cm^2 per £1 so double value for money. Need a few grand more before it's best deal around ;)

Not disagreeing with you at all. But you are also getting a significant sound upgrade over the b7, the nice on glass design and bragging rights over your mates!

I personally own the e7 which I got over the b7 purely for the "on glass" design but in retrospect I don't know of it was worth the extra. Got a slightly nicer remote control? the sound bar in the e7 is useless and I have a full surround sound setup so never use it anyway.

I would love this g7 though! If I had the cash I think I'd go for it...

I never really understood the packaged sound upgrade on the G7. E7 being a slight variant of the B/C7 sure. Butf you have £8k or whatever for this TV i'm pretty sure you would have some sound setup to match.

The on glass design though I can totally love. It reminds me of the LG GD900 transparent phone

Hadn't seen that phone before - nice idea... sort of ugly though XD

I completely agree with you though. The Soundbar seems like a pointless nice to have. I guess they have to add some nice things to a tv to justify an original 20k price tag though... I do see people talking about using the soundbar for late night tv or just watching the news but personally I basically have my sound system active all the time and just turn the volume down...

This is also what kills the W7 - perfect thin TV on the wall then you have to work out how to hide the sound bar because you will use it with an AVR...
