Go to slysoft.com and download AnyDVD. It's a program that runs in the background and removes any protection on DVDs (including Sony). Also I use DVDShrink to backup my DVds, it works well with AnyDVD too.

How is it crashing? This is the best way to do Arcoss DVD's (better than AnyDVD). Did you install FixVTS and put the location of it in the preferences. DVD Shrink is only needed if you want to use it. It will load the files into it after it has finished.

It shouldn't crash, I used RipIt4Me a few nights ago on Layer Cake it worked fine for me the first time round. Just follow the guide here.

    Have fun!

Glad to hear it. Sony often bring out new protection and AnyDVD is constantly being updated to overcome it. It also makes your DVD drive region free and has a very effective drive speed control utility. A new option it has is to make subtitles transparant so that they are not so distracting.

Any way of getting this for free, besides the 21 day trial period?

It really does work like a dream though :hiya:
