I am in search of an LCD projector - one that I can link a DVD player or laptop to... the issue is that I will be using the unit on Guyana in South Africa... Therefore it needs to be reliable and function at quite a high natural temperature (over 40C)...

Most of the units I am looking at give a lower temp range (ie 0-35C)

I am not to concerned about warranty as I will be back in the UK regularly so can get that sorted...

    Any suggestions

Why not see if you can check which models are sold over there and, if necessary, contact appropriate maufacturers to see if they make a "tropicalised" version (possibly has a bigger fan).

Get a bigger older one, some sort of conference series projector from the big manufacturers, tend to run nice and cool and last forever :)
