Over the last week there have been a plethora of award programs, but ITV scraped the barrel this week, one for the doubles of stars, and last night we had for 70 mins The All-Star Animal Awards. Is this the latest in the new naff programming such as house/garden makeovers, cooking, and real jobs programs.

They are cheap and the mugs watch them. ITV know their target audience and pander to them.

Look what happened when they tried to put football on in the early evening on Saturday. That didn't last long and they were soon back to such classy programmes as Blind Date and Tonight Matthew I'm going to be...........watching a DVD.

They can't be.......just look at the combinations they can still have with Who Wants To Be A Millionaire, the latest one Newlyweds, then they can have Divorced Couples, Owners and their Pets, Best Friends, Home Cinema Enthusiasts........could just see that one, Chris Tarrant ringing Uncle Eric up and saying "i have chompy here and with your help you can get him up to £100" :D

I don't suppose that even chompy could help Eric get to £100

Is it or is it not, frightening that people still watch this. I wonder if they put half a hidden signal in it, then if you watch an other week an other goes out, and you become compelled to watch for ever more. Now that’s a conspiracy for you.
Or if you have half a mind to watch it that’s all it takes (less acutely).
