See my build thread here for abit of back ground info:
    The light room rises
Selling my DIY project I started last year as I have moved house and no longer have the room or time to do anything further with this.

More info on the design etc can be found on the build thread or ask any questions on here, they comprise of 2x custom line array cabinets with 30x 2" BMR drivers per speaker (60 drivers total)

Note they do need dsp to sound good by nature of design, but with it they are quite impressive, cabable of some crazy SPL

I also have around 40 other brand new BMR drivers spare for other builds or spares etc.
Here is a link to the drivers used

    "HiWave BMR12 Compact 2" Full-Range Square Speaker 12W 8 Ohm" from www.parts-express.com!
All together there are ~100 of these drivers and they are still $6 each before delivery and taxes

Also for sale are two brand new sealed boxed AMTPRO-4 air motion transformer tweeters, I used 5 of these in my ultimate HT build as seen in the thread above and they are mind blowing .
Currently on Parts express for $150 each before delivery and tax.

"Dayton Audio AMTPRO-4 Air Motion Transformer Tweeter 4 Ohm" from www.parts-express.com!

Also I have a prototype mini array surround/centre channel speaker that can be thrown in see pics.

    AMT's £100 each
    Line arrays £350
    BMR's ~ 30 £80

It's hard to price things like this so I'm open to offers for the lot

    Price and currency: 600
Delivery: Goods must be exchanged in person
    Payment method: Cash/BT
    Location: scunthorpe
    Advertised elsewhere?: Not advertised elsewhere
Prefer goods collected?: I prefer the goods to be collected

Oh James, what are you doing to me... I'm quite interested in the line arrays, but I'm not sure when I'd be able to collect them. Any chance you're coming down South(ish) at any time?

Very impressive DIY skills you have. Maybe interested in the line arrays in, what would be a mainly stereo setup so no real DSP. How would you rate the sound quality. Could you tell me the length of each speaker. Would you say they were more suitable in a Home theatre setup.

They NEED dsp, not because they are bad speakers, its inherent of the design, they do go quite low though without a sub. Sound quality wise they sound very different to point source speakers and vocals are very natural

Yes that would do, I would be able to guide assist a buyer with setup also. As this is an partway through diy project they are not plug and play shop bought speakers obviously. If I had to I could hook them up to my system to show how they can sound when set up to any potential buyer maybe?

Thanks for the info. I think the biggest hurdle would be convincing the mrs, you had ME at "Array."
I like the idea of effortless music, just have to convince her.

    Hi James
I'd take the other 2 AMT's for £140 delivered for the pair.
Brought the other 3 off you a while ago for that price, still not used them but might be handy to have all 5 for when I do!!
    Cheers
    Mike

Hi mike, I didn't want to go much lower on these especially seen as they have gone up in value by quite an amount since then and they are un opened, but seen as you had the others off me I would do them for £140 plus postage if that's a deal? Say 150?

Hi, I am looking to make up a set of stereo bespoke speakers for an aluminium gazebo. The enclosure needs to be as small and light as possible. They would be about 2m long. They would be more for background music so dsp, placement etc are not of paramount importance. What do you think the smallest enclosure size, thickness of material, I could get away with using these full range mini speakers

How many speakers were you thinking of using? How big is the gazebo?

The Gazebo is 3m square. Have 2 parallel runs of @2.8m. Doesn't need to reach earsplitting levels, quality more than anything. Maybe 10 or 15 drivers per channel if that would work.

Well, with just one driver per corner in a 8cm cube would be enough for back ground music, the trouble is the bass, even with 15 drivers it would be lacking without dsp

Hi James, I was wondering if you kept any of the cabinets/baffles you were working on before settling on the ones you have now. Might be able to customize them for another use for prospective purchasers. I know I would have nothing approaching your level of skill in woodworking and having something pre made that the buyer could use and adapt might make a sale a bit easier.

I haven't got the time to make anybody anything myself but I do have the jig for the cut outs that anyone could have to go with the drivers if needed [emoji1303]

James, I wasn't asking that, I was asking about any previous incarnations you had attempted, I'd seen you had attempted a few designs before settling on the design you have now. I think your castoffs would be better than anything I could muster and may be able to use those.

Hi James hope you are well. Would these work well in a home cinema? Been a while but any idea how these would compare to my setup (you may recall you came down a long time ago!).
Do you have the size for all the speakers? Do you have photos of the centre speaker? Is that complete?

Hi mate, it's an on going project not really a plug and play set of finished speakers, it is just a stereo pair, with one prototype surround speaker as pictured. I wouldn't compare that to your current centre....

Ah OK thanks. I thought it may have been a 5.1 system. Best of luck with the sale.
