Just a heads up my mate's mum got a phone call the other day from this company(AMS-Arial Management Support) saying that her warranty(Sky Protect) was about to run out, she asked them why they were calling and not Sky Protect and they said they had taken over sky protect and that she hadn't claimed she could have 3 years for the price of 2(£90 a year). When I went to see my mate today, he said about this deal. It didn't sit right with me straight away, so I told him to have a look at his mum's bank statement and Sky Protect had come out.
So we had his mum phone Sky and they said the had no information of switching provider and gave his mum the number to Sky Protect(Domestic and something). Phoned them and was told it was still coming out and that they had not switched/merged with any other company. So rang AMS and told them that they are coning people and that she wanted a refund, to be told that we have to send the letter back, while she was on the phone I got her to ask how they had obtained her password and was told from an outside source. Which leaves me with the thought what is the point in having a password if anyone can obtain it.
I've told her not to send the the letter back(as they said they can not issue a refund till they receive it) as if she does she will have no proof and to instead ring Trading Standards and go to the bank see what they have to say .
Just thought I would let you guys know(I know most of you don't have sky protect any way, but this is a straight scam)
