I'm looking for an AV amplifier that does SCART (must be RGB) switching. Basically I want an easy to use solution where both the audio and video sources are corrected selected by a single action.

The only ones that I am aware of are the Pioneer 301, 402, 501, 502 series.

Some Panasonic amps do have SCARTs but only support composite.

    Are there any others ?

    Cheers,

    Nigel

The Arcam AVR250 and 300 models support RGBS (Scart) switching via their component + composite inputs; there are three inputs and one output and the internal OSD is available on the output. You will need suitable SCART to phono cables; QED and others do these. See www.arcam.co.uk for more info.

    HTH.

    Hi Everyone,

I would like to resurrect this thread as the information is 5 months old. I like the look of the Pioneer 502 Amp because it supports RGB through SCART, so I can connect my Pace NTL box via SCART/RGB, Pioneer DV-575 via SCART/RGB and my VCR via SCART/Composite and finally my Sony 32DX40 TV via SCART/RGB.

Are there any other NEW suggestion for AV Amp or AV Amp/Recivers with SCARTS. It must have 4 SCARTS at least 3 must be RGB (including the TV).

    or

Any other suggestion on how to switch RGB through an amp.

Budget is £250.00 street price (Richer Sounds has the Pioneer 502 for £250.00).

Thanks for you help in advance.

I doubt you'll find an amp with 4 SCARTS, and with a budget of £250, you've got no chance!

Thanks for your quick reply mjn,

I do have a chance because that is what the Pioneer 502 is, a £250 Amp with 4 SCARTs. If Pioneer can do it then maybe someone else can.

The 502 only has 3 RGB SCARTS, plus the 502 is an receiver and not an amplifier.
