Does anyone have any recommendations for matching my Meridian 800 CD/DVD player, Chario Millennium 2 speakers to alternative amplifiers instead of my current Cyrus mono-blocs (x4). Speaker and interconnect cables are Nordost SPM and Quattrofil. Thank you.

yes - get a valve amplifier

as there is no such thing as a good transistor amp ( sorry but its true ! )

thats if u want to 'feel' the music, with depth, and sweetness

failing that, get a CLASS A tranny amp, MF make some very nice ones

oh - but those lovely glowing valves !!! and what a sound.............

Ive NEVER heard any normal amp, have as good a sound as any well designed valve amp

    NEVER

and I used to work in a hi fi dealership..............................
