    Just a quick question........

I'm thinking of getting a new amp to power my monitor audio S6's (6ohm 91 sensitivity 120 max power......not sure how helpful these stats are) as my current C320 struggles quite a bit with them.

    The short list includes:
    Roksan Kandy MkIII
    Roksan Caspian (2nd Hand, maybe a Mk2)
    Cyrus 7
(would include an A85 but haven't found any 2nd hand/ex-dem ones yet)

I would like peoples thoughts on whether the above amps would be able to drive the speakers adequately and which would have lots of 'headroom' so the speakers could be turned up without losing too much clarity.

Just a thought ... but how about adding a NAD C270 and using the C320 as a pre-amp, or going the whole hog and buying a C370. Another option is a Rotel RA1060 which we found good for the money.

Yeh, thought about getting the C-270 Power amp but decided i'd rather get a better integrated first then i'll add power amps to that one as i need (if you ever really 'need' anything). Otherwise i'll be more or less at the top of my upgrade path already.

Thanks for the reply, I think i'll definately have to add the Rotel RA1060 to my shortlist, read good things about it on this forum (mainly from you).

    Add a c270 and bi-amp the speakers.

    You will not be sorry:D

I run a c370 with a pair of KEF Ref and they sound as good as they would if a £1k amp was driving them ( I know this as I also tried a MF Nu-vista).
Use the C350 as a pre and drive the HF/MId components with this and the LF section with the C270.

    Nad amps are the NADS:laugh:

Well, the Kandy's £550 and the Rotel I believe is around £560, so no more than that.

As I mentioned before, I want to get a better integrated amp before I start adding power amps. That NAD power amp is massive, no idea where I'd put it. Although I have been tempted a couple of times by some good prices.

    Cheers guys, any more responses?
