Hi all, new to the site so please excuse any stupid points or mistakes I may make.

I am putting together a new system to feed a new Hitachi PJ-TX10 Projector, I am happy with everything I have chosen but cant decide on amplifier, I would like to input Sky Digibox, Playstation 2 and Marantz DV4300, that part is straight forward but I would like to convert everything to output in component, I had looked at Yamaha DSP-AX640 but this wont perform this conversion, I am led to believe that the Marantz SR5400 will convert but would appreciate any advice offered.

    Cheers

I don't think the SR5400 has component switching.

Video up-convert to Component is cheapest available on Denon's AVR3803, IIRC, which sells for around £650.

Marantz 5400 does have component switching, although i'm not sure whether it will take a composite or s-video and output it through the component out connection.

no it won't these models or above:
    Denon AVR3803 (as already said)
Yamaha RXV1400RDS (More expensive but best amp for the money I've heard)
