Amplifier Blown Up

    Morning ladies and gents,

    So I bought a Pioneer 501 from Techtronics (never again!), and it stopped working last week. Half-way through a film it just gave up the ghost and now won't even power up.

    So I have spoken (well emailed- cos they don't answer phones in that place) to Techtronics and they have said they will repair it.
    Now what I really want is a new one - seeings that the first one died within 6 months.
    And they also want nearly £25 carriage - surely that can't be correct to charge me can it?

    Any advice as to what my rights are regarding new for old replacement and having to pay for carriage would be much appreciated.
