Question Amplifi and BT internet

Hi all

I have BT infinity, fibre to the cabinet 76mb and looking at Amplifi HD or the gaming edition as it’s not possible in my home to have Ethernet everywhere, Victorian terrace.

Can I get full benefits from just plugging one of these in to the home hub via Ethernet or will I have to use it as a modem/router and buy a separate modem to get full use?

Just conscious with the gaming one especially as my router doesn’t have a bridge mode I won’t get full features if it’s just plugged in via Ethernet.

Or is it just worth having amplifi HD. If one of the antennae is placed at the back of the house will it reach the garden for Wi-fi also?

Cheers

I would get a separate modem as you can’t put the BT hub into bridge mode. You can get a second hand Openreach one on Fleabay for around £20.
